Wimbledon is providing fans of online gaming with a "betting bonanza" to treat themselves to, one expert has said this week.
According to leading gaming firm William Hill, which runs an online casino, the tennis tournament together with football extravaganza Euro 2008 is giving the gambling industry a busy fortnight.
Members of online casinos, such as William Hill, and bingo sites can benefit from a number of sport-related promotions, including Gala Bingo's month of Wimbledon-related gaming offers.
Graham Sharpe, a spokesperson for William Hill, said: "It's traditionally one of the big sporting fortnights of the year.
"We've predicted that there will be up to £100 million gambled on the outcome of the tournament. It's always been a very big deal as far as betting is concerned."
He added that fans of online gaming "could not have better ingredients for a betting bonanza".
