Beginner's luck sees William Hill player win £17,000
A lucky gaming fan scooped more than £17,000 during his first ever visit to an online casino.
Last week Scott Robinson of South Yorkshire opened an online account with William Hill casino and just three hours later was £17,807 better off, reports online news resource Casino Beacon.
His good luck started with a 20p bet on the site's Pirates of Plunder game, one of 17 mini slot games featured on the online casino site.
William Hill's spokeswoman Jennie Prest told the news provider: "True to the Pirates Plunder game he was playing, Scott turned up suddenly and nicked our treasure! Such a big win for a new customer is terrific for Scott and for us, making over £17,000 in 3 hours is pretty good going."
Mr Robinson himself told the site that he is going to use some of the money to take his staff out for a night on the town.
It was previously reported that Emma Johnston of north Glasgow won £313,815 during her third trip to a Mecca bingo hall.
