A UK poker player has retuned home after competing in a US poker tournament alongside some 6,900 other casino fans.
The Hampshire Chronicle News reports that 52-year-old Mark Crocker placed a "creditable" 352nd and was one of the highest ranking UK players in the competition.
Mr Crocker gained entrance to the Las Vegas-based event after entering a tournament held by online casino provider Ladbrokes Casino, where he plays under the name of Balou.
Also on Ladbrokes' 120-strong team were celebrity snooker player Steve Davis and darts player John Part.
Speaking to the local news provider about his experience, Mr Crocker said: "I got to know Steve Davis quite well while I was out there. He played well and was very unlucky, going out just shortly before I did. John Part was also a nice guy as well."
