The British Olympic team are conducting many of their preparations ahead of the Olympic Games in Beijing in Macau, one of the biggest gambling cities in the world, it has emerged.
Sky News reported on the team's base in Macau, a semi-autonomous region of China that is providing a rapidly developing centre for casinos that also "boats impressive facilities in a climate that's perfect for preparing for the Beijing heat," the news provider said.
It added that Britain received the training centre after repeat visits by Bernie Cotton, the man in charge of finding the nation's camp, with the man travelling to the island community 30 times in search of the perfect conditions for the athletes.
Major casinos in Macau now include the Venetian and Wynn, which also have resorts in Las Vegas.
This week, Unluckyforsome.co.uk reported that Mecca Bingo is celebrating the Olympic Games with "some great Olympic themed promotions" at their bingo website, which it encourages people to check regularly for updates.
